Jonathan H. Newman, a named partner of the firm, has an impressive array of trial and real-estate litigation and transaction experience. He has conducted closings of numerous multi-million dollar properties and coordinated thousands of others. His list of clients includes publicly-traded real-estate investment trusts, major building owners and managing agents, noted restauranteurs, and prominent sports and entertainment celebrities. In addition to regularly appearing before all local, state, and federal tribunals and administrative agencies, Mr. Newman helps clients form new businesses and provides continuing legal guidance thereafter. Mr. Newman has authored a series of published articles on legal issues and has served as a panelist, moderator, and/or chair of various events and programs sponsored by Lorman Education Services and the New York County Lawyers' Association. He is particularly pleased to have been a member of NYCLA's October 2005 Housing Court Conference, which generated a report entitled, "The New York City Housing Court in the 21st Century: Can it Better Address the Problems Before It?" Prior to forming Finkelstein Newman Ferrara LLP, Mr. Newman headed a real-estate transactions department where clients included the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation.
